Overview

ZenTra is a mobile-first budgeting app pitch for Deakin's IT Innovations and Entrepreneurship unit, designed to help individuals and couples aged 18-45 manage expenses with empathy and AI - making budgeting simple, transparent and relationship-friendly.

The problem

Australian individuals and couples face rising cost-of-living pressure with no simple, empathetic way to manage shared expenses: 5.5 million couple families need shared budgeting tools, money is the #1 source of relationship pressure, and 72% of young professionals don't feel in control of their finances.

My approach

Led a 6-member team through problem research, market segmentation and product design for the pitch; designed the persona research (individual and couple use cases), the market strategy, and the UI concepts for core features - a 5-second Quick-Add expense entry, a shared budget overview with real-time alerts, a conversational AI money coach, and gamified savings tools - then presented the pitch and a working-prototype demo.
